I received this week the first gift for my baby : a white bodysuit with short sleeves form Petit Bateau, the famous brand for babies and kids. Thank you so much to my mother-in-law ! She knows that Petit Bateau is one of my favorite brand. I used to buy for my older kids and the clothes are still in good shape. I like too the fabrics they use and the simplicity of their collections. The cotton is very soft and have the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 label. Since few years, the brand choosed to make their production in a safety and healthy way for our kids and the planet. Their packaging is recyclable, the fabrics are healthy for the skin of our babies ... It's also my way to make my clothes for you : I try to find the best products for the safety and the healthy of your kids.

So for this look, I combined this bodysuit with a bloomer made in with Liberty fabric, booties and 2 different kind of cardigan. For the version for a boy, I choosed a cardigan with long sleeves in a blu between duck blu and navy blu (own pattern but you can also wear it for a baby girl !) and for a girl a cardigan with short sleeves and Liberty buttons (the girl touch) made a very longtime ago for my older daughters and looooot of time washed and weared. The pattern of this one is from L'Enfant Roi, a brand created by one of my friend Elodie Bunel.... I think I need to write a post just about her and her creations which are a basic necessecity for French seamtress !

And the Knitting Meeting "Tricot-thé" Wednesday May 25th at 2:00 pm at Knitting Knook (6858 N Santa Monica Blvd, Fox Point).

For this look, I started with a light gray pajamasand easy to wear. I found it in a box that my friend Rebecca put down for me, a beautiful morning, with her baby's stuff which she had used for her two children. Thanks again so much, Rebecca ! 

The pajamas is size 0-3 months and it's the kind of the pajamas that you can find easily (Baby Gap, Old Navy ...).

Today, I decided to associate it with a layette (called "brassière" in French). This layette is made with a light grey merino wool (size 0-3 months). The color match perfectly with the gray of this pajamas and fit for a boy or a girl (you remeber, I don't want to know the gender of my baby!).

To make the diference, I adapt the color of the booties (pink, of course, for a girl and ivory for a boy) and I form the ties in front for the girl and on the back for the boy ... et voilà !

Very slowly, the spring is coming. Somedays the weather is warm and quickly the chilly wind come back, just to let you know that you need to keep the scarves, hats and gloves nearby your coat. Sometimes, I can go out for a walk and take advantage of the sun. But I miss the walk in the streets of Paris during spring time. Just walking around the boutiques and seeing the news collection in the shop-windows make you feel better. Don't forget to stop for a cup of tea in Ladurée !

Last year, I participated to a contest called "A spring in Paris". What is the best moment in spring in Paris ? To savor an assortment of macarons with a cup of tea after an afternoon of shopping.

For this project, my girls helped me to find the fabrics and the yarn, to match the colors, to choose the flavors for the macarons. I was like a little girl, playing with the dolls and my daughters. I love these moments with her !

We used the 2 dolls I made for Ombeline (my older daughter) and Eléonore (my yougest). The dolls are crocheted with mercerised cotton and stuffed with an organic cotton and silk specially made for toys. 

For the dresses and the shoes, I used Liberty of London and rest of a pink cotton and light grey wool. For the tea cups, I used white cotton found im my small wool shop and gold thread for embroidery (DMC). All the pattern are homemade.

Now day, the tea cups, the teapot and the macarons are with a little girl in Chicago. We hope she is enjoying like us to play with !

To enhance the excitation, we don't want to know if it's a boy or a girl... so for the clothes, I need to find what can fit to boy or girl at the same time. Finally, it's not too difficult !

First look :

For the next winter, I have to provide for my baby clothes the size around 6 months. For this first look I choose a red cardigan with the matched booties. This color fit easily for a baby boy or a baby girl. You can also use it with a pajama for every day. Let's have a look !

I can't hide it anymore ! I'm expecting a baby, my 5th baby. Everyone at home is every excited. Each child is making their own plan with the baby : games, reading, taking care ... Plenty of hands to help me ! The due date is in the end of July, so they will have time to do a lot of things with the baby.

For my part, I'm doing a wish list but I will not have enough time to accomplish it ! One of my first knitting project is these booties... see soon my other projects !

Hermine (my 10 years old daughter) wants to go for a walk on a park and bring her favorite notebook to write or to draw. "It will depend on my inspiration !" she said.

Poor Hermine, she will have to wait a long time because it's suppose to snow today !
